Next Door Dinners, October 15th @ Guild Row

Next Door Dinners is a community dinner project with a pay-what-you-can model! We serve a three course dinner that sells out around 50 people. The dinners source from Chicago urban farmers, retailers, and makers and pops up at venues all around the city. All profits go to various organizations supporting Chicago residents. 

The price for a ticket to “break-even” for dinner and venue costs is about $15 a person. All profits beyond that point are donated.

Last month, some gave $1 and some gave $75. When buying your ticket, please consider your socioeconomic status, inherent wealth, and access to fresh food, and give whatever you are comfortable with. 

This month we will be donating all profits to Food Not Bombs Humboldt Park Chapter. Food Not Bombs Humboldt Park offers free weekly groceries for those facing food insecurity in Chicago’s northwest side neighborhoods. Their direct distribution model saves food from going to waste while highlighting the inequalities that exist in society. They advocate for peace and social justice in our community and around the globe.

Distribution days: Wednesdays 5-7 and Saturdays 11-2 at 3519 W North Ave

A Local CSA Dinner! A hyper-seasonal, fall-flavored, vegetarian menu is coming soon. Tickets available now.

We are basing this dinner’s menu on Nichols Farm’s CSA, with their produce list coming out 1 week before the dinner. Stay tuned for menu updates!
